Why does MATLAB 7.0.1 (R14SP1) hang on startup
Why does MATLAB 7.0.1 (R14SP1) hang on startup when my monitor is in the portrait position?
When I rotate my monitor ninety degrees to the portrait (or vertical) orientation MATLAB hangs on startup. The status in the lower left corner of the MATLAB window says “Initializing”. MATLAB starts correctly when my monitor is in the traditional orientation. If I start MATLAB and then rotate my monitor to the portrait orientation, MATLAB continues to work properly.
